General Contestant Information
Application Qualifications: Each division is limited to the first 10 applicants. The Shortcake Division is for ages 11–13, the Princess Division is for ages 14–16, and the Queen Division is for ages 17–24, all based on the age on the day of the pageant. Applicants must be residents of North Central Florida and must be single, never married, and never have had a child. During her reign, a contestant is expected to represent the pageant positively, including on social media. Any actions that significantly harm the organization may result in loss of title and scholarship at the discretion of the directors. Any scholarship funds already awarded will be returned to the Bradford County Community Women before the next year’s pageant.
Areas of Competition
Interview (30%):
A trendy dress or business attire is to be worn during this competition.
Shortcake interviews will be 5.5 minutes in length: 30 second opening, 5 minute questioning
Princess interviews will be 5.5 minutes in length: 30 second opening, 5 minute questioning
Queen interviews will be 7.5 minutes in length: 30 second opening, 7 minute questioning
Be sure to know your Fact Sheet! This is what the judges will receive and use to question you. Queen contestants should also be familiar with current events.
Talent (30%):
Please ensure that your attire for this competition is appropriate. Outfits will be reviewed and approved during rehearsal, and contestants may be asked to change if their wardrobe is deemed inappropriate.
The time limit for the competition is 2 minutes. Points will be deducted if the performance exceeds this limit.

No props are allowed unless they are an essential part of your routine.
Refer to the application for more information about props.Changes to your talent performance will not be allowed after the first night of talent rehearsal.
Talents will not be repeated during the pageant unless requested by the judges.
Casual Wear (15%):
Contestants should wear attire that reflects their personality and style.
Please remember, this is casual wear—no cocktail dresses are allowed.
Ensure that your outfit is appropriate for the competition.
Your casual wear may relate to the theme of the pageant (theme details will be provided at orientation).
Evening Gown (20%):
Contestants should wear an age-appropriate, floor-length gown. When wearing the shoes designated for the evening gown portion, the bottom of the gown should just touch the floor.
On-Stage Question (5%):
This competition will take place during the evening gown portion.
The question asked will be the best question from your interview.
